Travelling with children, infants and toddlers

We are unable to accept bookings on our shared transfers for infants under the age of 4 years old. As we have a diverse fleet of vehicles on our shared transfer service, not all are equipped with seat belts which would allow the use of child seats. Whilst children under the age of 3 years are not legally obliged to wear a seat belt if their size does not allow in France, in the interests of safety and in accordance with Swiss laws, we have elected not to allow the carriage of toddlers and infants on adults’ laps from either our Geneva or Grenoble pick up points. Children between the ages of 4 and 12, or up to 135cm in height will be required to occupy a seat and must be secured by the existing seat belts. Due to restricted space in our vehicles we are unable to provide “booster seats” on our shared transfers, if you wish your child to travel seated on this type of system then you will need to provide your own.
Any child below the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, legally endorsed by a parent or guardian.
Please be aware that we cannot guarantee on board WC facilities for each transfer and as we operate a direct service from the airport to the Tarentaise valley, a journey of approximately 2.5 – 3 hours (without traffic or weather delays), the journey may not be comfortable for some young children.

What is the difference between a shared and private transfer?

A private transfer is a door to door service where you will not have to share the service with any other passenger.. The shared transfer service offers a cost effective method of getting to your ski resort by sharing the transfer with other passengers. You may be required to change buses once in the valley. For shared transfers there are specific drop off/collection points.

Privates transfers

For private transfers, where the vehicle used has 8 passenger seats or less, we are able to use and provide on request and free of charge child and booster seats, which have been approved and identified with the ECE R44 04 approval label. Carry seats for infants, which we are unable to provide, can be used in our 8-seater minibus, using a three point seat belt, however this will be counted as a place in the vehicle.
In both circumstances the driver can remind passengers to use a seat belt, by means of an obligatory notice visible in the vehicle, however the driver cannot be held responsible if passengers elect not to wear the seat belt.
